Our Bishop

The Rt. Rev. Dr. Prem Prakash Habil was born on 1st January, 1956. He was ordained as Presbyter in the Diocese of Agra on 24 May, 1990 and has 23 years of Pastoral experience. He holds the degree of Bachelor of Divinity (B.D) from the Bishop's College, Kolkata and has also done Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) from the Senate of Serampore College. Besides holding other important positions in the Diocese of Agra he was elected as the Diocesan Secretary in the year 2000 and continued to hold the position till date. He is married to Mercy and has three children, one daughter (Mahima) and two sons (Ashish & Anugrah). The Rt. Revd. Dr. Prem, Prakash Habil was Consecrated and installed on September 29, 2013 as the Bishop of the Diocese of Agra in the Diocesan Office, Agra.

Thousands of believers of the Diocese of Agra along with members from the Diocese of Agra, gathered at the St. George's Cathedral, Sadar, Agra Cantt. on September 29, 2013 to witness the consecration of it's newly elected Bishop, The Revd. Dr. Prem Prakash Habil. The Most Revd. Dr. Philip P Marandih, Moderator, Church of North India Synod, led the consecration service. Present on the occasion were Bishop P. K. Samantaroy, Deputy Moderator, CNI Synod, Mr. Alwan Masih, General Secretary, CNI Synod, Mr. Prem Masih, Acting Treasurer, CNI Synod, The Rt. Revd. Ashoke Biswas, Bishop, Diocese of Calcutta, The Rt. Revd. Prakash D. Patole, Bishop, Diocese of Mumbai, The Rt. Revd. Warris K. Masih, Bishop, Diocese of Rajasthan and The Rt. Revd. P. C. Singh, Bishop, Diocese of Jabalpur along with the dignitaries representing other organizations and local media.
